If you are fossicking in the Southern Downs and Granite Belt you will primarily be looking for Gold and Topaz and other gemstones and minerals.

National Parks

The Southern Downs and Granite Belt region is home to some spectacular national parks, including World Heritage listed Main Range National Park taking in Queen Mary Falls and Goomburra in the Warwick area and Girraween, Sundown and Bald Rock National Parks in the Granite Belt.
