Camping

Half the fun of caravanning and camping is the travelling, the other half is choosing what to see and do along the way.Take the time to explore Queensland's Southern Downs & Granite Belt. Set up camp at your choice of
caravan parks and camping grounds throughout the region.
If you would like to get close to nature, sleep soundly under the stars amongst granite boulders, along the dam foreshore or pitch your tent beside a bubbling stream in one of the region's
national parks.
In Main Range National Park, camping is permitted at Spicer's Gap and Goomburra. Stay a day or two and enjoy bushwalking, sightseeing and see native animals such as echidnas and koalas in their natural habitat.
Girraween and Sundown National Parks are in the southern part of the region, with extensive walking tracks for the novice to advanced bushwalkers. See enormous granite boulders and outcrops and listen for superb lyrebirds as they imitate calls of other birds.
