Oaklea is a 300 acre working farm east of Killarney in the majestic mountains of the Scenic Rim. Picturesque, peaceful, and cooler than the lowlands due to our elevation, they are seemingly closer to the stars at night!Their garden is shaded by 100 year old Oak trees, under which they have planted camellias, azaleas and rhododendrons. The property has a significant stand of remnant rainforest and eucalypt forest, ideal for a quiet walk. From both cottages there are excellent views of the mountains, and when you walk around the property you will experience views that are unsurpassed anywhere in the region.Close to the Main Range National Park and Queen Mary Falls, they are ideally located between Boonah and Killarney for sightseeing, bushwalking, photography, bird watching, mountain biking, or just plain relaxation. Comfortable accommodation is available in two self contained cottages sleeping up to seven, or in the homestead itself.
